Getting Married This Halloween?
Before saying “I do,” you'll need a valid Pennsylvania marriage license.Here's what you need to know:
- Pennsylvania has a three-day waiting period before a marriage license becomes valid.
- Marriage licenses are generally valid for 60 days from issuance.
- Both applicants must complete the county's application requirements.
- A marriage license issued by any Pennsylvania county can generally be used for a ceremony anywhere in the state.
Don't wait until Halloween week to apply. Give yourself plenty of time to obtain your license before October 31.
